Recently I've taken the Strengths Finder 2.0 online test and it has given me insight into what my top 5 strengths are as a person. Being able to pinpoint what you are good at is very helpful when soon entering the workforce.
My top 5 strengths are:
-Maximizer
-Strategic
-Empathy
-Communication
-Individualization
When all of these strengths are put together it really does describe me and how I work. Now I'm going to talk about my strength as a maximizer.
The maximizer strength states that I focus on strengths to stimulate personal and group excellence, as well as transform something strong into something superb. This holds true for me. I always like focus on the positive side of things and in a group setting I think that people work better when they focus on the good rather than the problems. As far as transforming something I think it is very important to take the extra time to add finishing touches to make something better, such as a presentation or even an outfit!
An example of when I've used this strength is last semester when I was working with a group on a project for General Motors in their GM and U Marketing Challenge. Our task was to create a marketing campaign for their new college discount program. Once we got our big idea I thought it was important to work out all the details of the advertising and promotions that we were going to do. Without all the details and the extra effort I don't think the presentation would've had the same impact. The end result of this was that we had a successful presentation and a piece of work that everyone in the group can be proud of.
Knowing your strengths is a good tool to know what it is that you do best.

Vision
As a senior in college graduating in May I am forced now more than ever to think about my future. It is important to have a vision and see yourself somewhere before actually entering the "real" world. My past 4 years at the University of New Hampshire have been some of the best of my life...but it's time to move on to bigger and better things (and I truly believe that).
My vision for the future is constantly changing. I'm a marketing major and am very happy in that field. Where I want to go with that degree specifically is unclear. I find all my marketing classes to be very interesting and am excited to put everything I've learned to use. Right now I see myself working for an ad agency. Working with a team to put together marketing strategies and campaigns for clients. I could also envision myself working within a larger company's marketing department.
Like I said earlier it's great to have a vision but just graduating college may not lead exactly where you want to go. I'm willing to start out small and work my way up to where I want to be. This way I would also be able to really appreciate what I do. And who knows, one day a dream job could presnt itself, and this way I'll be ready for it.
